The writing on the roots and the note add SO MUCH atmosphere, feels a bit gloomy... Yet not.

I gotta say, I think it's unique instead of being "weak for your bar"

Looking at it, it seems like some kind of serenity being interrupted, what with the flowers on a white backdrop, the head turn with no torso contortions, and the overall expression.

It reminds me of an illustration you might find in a book, like one of those books that might have seven pictures in it's entirety, acting to help build a scene.

But I'm no art critic, and I've only ever watched one piece of moomin valley media ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

Btw, an interesting comparison! In Slavic mythology, there is also a sun god (Svarog). He is also sometimes depicted as just a sun with a face.. Damn, how can I stop seeing Aika as a folklore god now ahah
